Our tour map ↓

China offers huge cities, ancient lake towns and a fast-growing university sector. Our China trips pair famous places with campus life, from Hong Kong's harbour to Shanghai's lanes, and we are looking at Hangzhou and Nanjing next.

When to go

Spring & autumn

March to May and September to November are the most comfortable months for walking cities and lakes.

Lantern season

Around Lunar New Year and the Lantern Festival, cities fill with glowing lantern displays like the dragons on this site.

Hong Kong in winter

From late October to December Hong Kong is dry and cooler, ideal for hikes and harbour views.
